Food & Shopping:
Home / Introduction
Before you start this unit, think about the following questions...
- What kinds of foods do you think grow in Cuba ?
- How often do you eat at an ethnic restaurant or try new things when you
eat out? Can you name a few restaurants in your area where Spanish is
spoken? Can you a few other ethnic restaurants?
- How often is your family unable to eat what you want because it is
unavailable or too expensive?
- Where does your family buy groceries? Do you go to more than one place? How often do you go to an open air market?
- How would you imagine the Cuban diet to be? spicy? with lots of meat?
tortillas? beans? potatoes?
