Before you start this unit, think about the following questions...
- Santería is a religion of African origin. What do you know
about the religions of Africa? Do they have many gods or one god? Do they
believe in heaven?
- How do you think you would react if you were kidnapped to another country
and forced to give up your religion?
- Do you believe that it is possible to adhere to more than one religion at
a time and be true to both of them?
- How would you explain your religion to someone whose language you didn't
speak? How could you communicate your message? How well do you think it would
work?
